Stone Fence

Hi Rye Whiskey

According to some history books, prior to raiding Fort Ticonderoga at the beginning of the Revolutionary War in 1775, Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys, knocked back several rum & cider cocktails known as the Stone Fence cocktail. While whiskey production grew over time this cocktail began to see a shift in base spirit and eventually the simple mix of rye whiskey, apple cider and bitters was adopted. This simple mix of PostModern Spirits Hi, Rye Whiskey plays nicely with the hard apple cider. The Stone Fence proves not all great cocktails have to be difficult to make!
