Amaro Arancia, Hi Rye Whiskey

The end of summer takes us into Fig Season in Knoxville. This Caleb original cocktail is meant to showcase the rich bounty of figs. The Hi, Rye Whiskey backbone provides warm spice that compliments the palate sweetening fig syrup. The cocktail really shines with the addition of the Amaro Arancia to help dry out the finish of the mixed drink.

Ingredients:

PostModern Spirits Hi, Rye Whiskey 1.5 ounce
PostModern Spirits Amaro Arancia 0.25 ounce
Fig Syrup* 1 ounce
Lemon Juice 0.25 ounce
Strongwater Walnut Bitters 5 dash

Garnish:

Dehydrated Lemon

Method:

Shake with Ice & Strain into a coupe.

*Fig Syrup – Add 1 cup diced figs to 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar and bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Blend, strain and retain syrup. Keep refrigerated.
