Long Fall of Summer

This PostModern take on the traditional long drink, The Gin & Tonic, is a perfect late summer through fall refreshing sipper. The spice notes of the Cardamom & Cinnamon pair nicely with the spice forward UpRoot Barrel Rested Gin. The Long Fall of Summer is a natural at tailgates for a change of pace from whiskey cocktails, patios and boats alike!

Glass:

Collins

Ingredients:

2 ounce PostModern Spirits UpRoot Barrel Rested Gin
1 ounce Cardamom & Cinnamon infused Simple Syrup
0.75 ounce Lemon Juice
0.5 ounce Jack Rudy Tonic Syrup

Garnish:

Star Anise, Cinnamon Stick, Long Curly Orange Zest

Method:

Shake all ingredients with ice. Spiral orange twist in glass while filling with ice. Strain cocktail into glass and top with soda water. Garnish with cinnamon stick and star anise.

Tasting Notes:

A spice forward gin & tonic featuring cinnamon, cardamom and the earthy & spicy notes of Szechuan peppercorns & galangal root.
