The Daisy is a Family of Cocktail recipes that can be made with any number of base spirits. Through the years the Daisy has undergone any number of tweaks and variations. At its core, the daisy is a variation of the sour {spirit, citrus, sweetener} that includes the addition of soda water. For this PostModern Spirits riff on the Daisy, we add Amaro Arancia, the sweet & bitter Italian style liqueur. One thing all Daisies have in common, they need to be served very cold and should be refreshing.

Glass:

Cocktail Coupe

Ingredients:

2 ounce PostModern Sprits Hi, Rye Whiskey
1 ounce Lemon Juice
0.5 ounce Simple Syrup
0.5 ounce PostModern Spirits Amaro Arancia
2 ounce Soda Water

Garnish:

Lemon Twist

Method:

Shake all ingredients with ice until well chilled and diluted. Strain into chilled cocktail coupe and top with up to 2 ounces of soda water.

Balance of tart, sweet and bitter – refreshing
