Empirical Dry Gin

This fall gin cocktail recipe from bartender and distiller Allen Katz gets a power boost from PostModern’s Navy Strength (114 proof) Empirical Dry Gin. The cranberry, apple & black tea usher in the cooler weather like leaves falling from the trees.

Glass:

Coupe

Ingredients:

1.5 ounce PostModern Spirits Empirical Gin
1 ounce Cranberry Juice
1 ounce Apple Juice
1 ounce black tea, brewed
0.5 ounce Cinnamon Syrup*

Garnish:

Apple Slices

Method:

Shake all ingredients with ice and double strain in to a cocktail coupe and garnish with apple slices

*Cinnamon Syrup: heat 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water until the sugar melts. Add 2 cinnamon sticks and steep for 10 minutes off the heat and then strain cinnamon sticks.

Tasting Notes:

Bold juniper resin flavors mesh nicely with the sweet fruit juices
