This fun riff on the French 75 cocktail features PostModern Spirits’ Giniferous Gin and Subrosa Liqueur. The French 75 most likely originated during WW1 at the New York Bar in Paris. However, the Champagne Cup was a cocktail well known in the 19th century which contained champagne, lemon juice and sugar and was often fortified with gin – so the French 75 was not necessarily a novel invention. The bright lemon acidity of the Flamant 75 variant cocktail is balanced nicely by the floral notes of the Subrosa Liqueur. The sparkling wine lifts the flavors on the palate and brings the entire cocktail together.
