Birds of Paradise

Amaro Arancia, UpRoot Gin

This tropically inspired cocktail features the PostModern Spirits whiskey barrel aged UpRoot Gin and the slightly bitter Amaro Arancia. Birds of Paradise is a well-balanced cocktail with bright pineapple and lime citrus, mid-palate sweetness and enough amaro to provide a drier finish.




UpRoot Gin 1 ounce
Amaro Arancia 1.5 ounce
Pineapple Juice 1.5 ounce
Cinnamon Syrup* 0.5 ounce
Lime Juice 0.5 ounce


Orange Twist


Shake with ice and strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass. Garnish with an orange twist.

*Cinnamon Syrup: 2 Cups Sugar, 2 Cups Water, 0.5 Cup Cinnamon Cut & Sifted. Combine ingredients over heat to melt sugar. Remove from heat and steep for 10 minutes. Strain and retain liquid.
