A fall favorite in the tasting room for several years, the Alpino Sour is a PostModern riff on the Amaro Sour from Brad Thomas Parsons book: Amaro. The whiskey barrel rested Amaro Alpino makes the perfect backbone for this cocktail with its interesting blend of gentian bittered botanicals and molasses & vanilla finish. Instead of egg whites, we make this with Instafoam vegan egg white replacement to create a silky-smooth texture.

Ingredients:

PostModern Spirits Amaro Alpino 2 ounce
PostModern Spirits Straight Malt Whiskey 1 ounce
Lemon Juice 0.5 ounce
Simple Syrup 0.5 ounce
Dropper of Instafoam Vegan Egg White

Garnish:

Dehydrated Lemon / Bitters Hearts

Method:

Shake hard with vegan egg white & ice and double strain into a chilled Nick & Nora.
